FANTASTICO BACKUPS

ANY backups you create ( in cpanel or from within your Fantastico software) are stored on your server space.

You may wish to keep a copy of the backups OFF the server as this will enable you to reinstate your application should any problems occur with the server.

We recommend that you always keep an up to date secure copy of your applications  on your local machine for security and peace of mind.

SO here is how you can download them to your local machine.

1. Go to  www.SMARTFTP.com or www.Filezilla.com and download their free ftp tool unless you already own an ftp client. (Mac users will need to obtain alternative ftp software)

2. Once you have it on your system all you need to do is go to your space on the server using the ftp logins as shown in our original Set Up email.

3. Click back to + top-level in left pane and you will see on right pane: backup-xxxx.tar.gz file or  these files may be in a folder called fantastico_backups.

This is the zip file to copy to your pc.

If required we can re upload your zip file to the server at your request.  (Note that this is not an offline copy of your website application - it is simply a restorable back up file)
